Awakening - Epilogue - Ranmaru Vizzini
Over the next few years:
Even with Sasori's help, he is not quite able to exorcise his nightmares completely, but he has been able to keep them largely manageable.
As yet, the person who had tried to kill Ranmaru has not resurfaced. Despite Sasori and Gentle Wind's efforts, so far that person's identity is unknown. They have at least determined the would-be assassin was an entropy mage.
As an Akashic Brother, Ranmaru is exceptional. His skill with languages have caught the interest of the scholars of the Akashiyama, while his martial arts skill appeals to another subset of the group.
As of last year, Ranmaru has become a member of the Kaizankai, the Japanese subset of the Shi-Ren. It took a lot of Sasori's influence and Ranmaru's natural ability to convince the group to accept someone who was only half-Japanese, but as of last year, Ranmaru has finally been welcomed in their ranks.
On a professional level, Ranmaru has relocated to Tokyo, acting as Sasori Kouga's principle secretary. While there are many theories as to how he got the job, the most accurate is simply that he is good at it. Sasori Kouga would accept no less.
End of Prelude.
