Kamal'Ha gave me a very ugly necklace today. I have no idea of its purpose. She seemed to have made it herself. I smiled when she gave it to me, unsure what sort of Orion custom I should be following at the moment. I don't think it's an invitation for sex. That doesn't seem to be her style. We're rather incompatible, personality wise. Maybe that's why we're friends. But due to her chosen career path, I don't think I can lean on her for emotional support. Kind of odd how that works out.

Anyway, the Captain and senior crew are working through how to help the colonists on Solarian IV. It looks like the Cardassians have declared war and there's less than a handful of ships that can do anything about protecting this sector and freeing the colonies that have already fallen. I miss Odan.

    How was I supposed to know it was a medal? Or how it was supposed to be implemented? I haven't studied Orion culture or whatever Earth culture you were in the mood to express at the moment? I wasn't making fun of your gift. I'm truly confused by it. As far as this being a public forum, I told you I would be making a memoir.
