Episode 4 Recap: The King's Gambit

Demion wasn't present at a session so xhe's not doing a personal log for that day. But the GM provided an episode synapse... Following the events on Solarian IV... The Cardies setup industrial-strength transport inhibitors in the colony Capitol (the city the Crew was operating out previously). The Cardies had a fleet of 3 ships en route due in 16 hours. The captain made the call to evacuate the colony (5000+) and recruited another SF ship to assist. Multiple teams beamed down to the planet before dawn and infiltrated the city, with the help of Bob and Kam (Sam)'s knowledge of the city layout. Kam's team targeted the administration building. Failed their stealth checks but managed to fight their way out mostly unscathed. Byron (G) managed to find some intel. Destroy the inhibitor and beam back to the ship as the two ships begin to transport the colonist aboard. The Cairo reports that they had been trying to raise the teams for a while, an additional 2 ships were en route and the fleet had increased their speed and was only 6 hours away. As the Crew help the colonists who are beamed aboard the other SF ship heads out, a few hours later the Cairo begins to depart as the fleet of 5 enemy ships ignores them and heads for the planet...one ship breaks formation and heads toward the Cairo until it turns back shortly late (scans indicated there was heavy com chatter prior to its course change) Demion was working to help repair the Cairo. Xhe hauled ass with half her systems heavily damaged in order to reach the planet in the previous episode. After the Battle of Setlik III, she was the fastest ship of the Agrippa and the Rutledge so the other ships helped get her warp drive up back online and then the Cairo's crew facilitated repairs en route.
