Episode 2: Cardassian Wars, Part 1

So the weekend was amazing. Ramonda, Okoye, & Adam made me make up time from when Kamal’Ha distracted me with studying. We had our starship exercise simulations. We detected strange bio-neural energy around the ship we’re going to investigate. When we got there, the asshat, Saval, declares us traitors without preamble and was acting super squirrelly.

Kamal’Ha starts asking for multiple engineering tasks and I have to say immediately for her to decide what I prioritize. We’re able to evade a good number of the damage as well as save Saval and the cargo ship we were investigating just before we’re turned to virtual space dust.

I seem to recall some antics by James Kirk involving similar exercises by non-corporeal beings taking over corporeal sentients and turning them into epic asshats until they were saved by the Enterprise crew. I don’t think Saval was a great actor, I think he was reveling in the fact he had a logical reason to be an epic asshat instead of having to logic his way into one.

At the end of the exercise, I was praised for my engineering prowess, as if there were any doubt. I am after all a certified engineering genius. I have the Academy of Science on Trill’s official seal. I don’t generally tell other people that because they’ll probably think I’m a bragging asshat. Kamal’Ha was praised for stepping up and taking command without any training. I think she did a good job with making some quick tactical discussions. Byron also did a good job on tactical. He does enjoy fighting a lot. I guess that’s why we get along. He fights and I get to take my time and math our way out.

Okoye wants some personal time together. I’ll miss being roomies. I hope she finds someone that she can be happy with when we part ways.
